2025 Club Championship - The finals 2nd August

Men's final

Gordon really brought his A-game to the final to defend his crown and, despite Luc's amazing skills and grit, pressed on for the win. A thrilling match to watch!

Winner: Gordon Harpur
Runner up: Luc Elsby
Match result: 3:0

Ladies final

An intense battle between the sisters, and the scoreline belied the closeness of the contest. Amazing ball-striking by both! In the end, Nikita won against her younger sister, Maya. Congratulations to both and we will surely be seeing a lot more of them in the years ahead.

Winner: Nikita Goel
Runner up: Maya Goel
Match result: 3:0

Veteran's final

A real battle of technique, instincts and cunning! Despite Dean's smart play, Alistair took the win on the day. A pleasure for the audience to watch!

Winner: Alister Robinson
Runner up: Dean Ricks
Match result: 3:0

Handicap final

The organisers did a great job of setting the handicaps and we were rewarded with a very close final, right up until the tie-break in the third game. Will overcame two match points against him to win 2:1.

Winner: Will Taylor (-14)
Runner up: Rupert March (-12)
March result: 2:1

Racketball final

This wasn't a squash match, it was a squash marathon! Both could retrieve anything, so the winning shot was usually the result of a mistake. The lengthy, brutal, but highly skilled match was eventually won by Oliver.

Winner: Oliver Kirkness
Runner up: Harry Prescot
March result: 3:1

Doubles final

Thrilling match. The rallies went on and on - the ball speed was amazing. The match lasted much longer than expected. Andrew and Michael eventually prevailed in the fourth game to take the win.

Winners - Andrew Larkin & Michael Royce
Runners up - Declan Connor & Alex Morris
Match score: 3:1
